Social Media Tips for Law Firms and Legal Professionals
The emergence of social media as a marketing tool for companies has changed the way commerce functions in the United States and indeed the whole world. What does this mean for law firms, court reporters and other legal professionals.
Cubesocial recently published a fascinating guide for using social media for your law firm or other legal industry field. It’s filled with excellent suggestions including:
1. Plan Your Content, Set a Policy
This includes managing what is public versus private information and setting proper guidelines and constraints for your public persona on Twitter and Facebook
2. Have a Routine
Stay consistent with your approach and keep at it. Don’t miss many days in the campaign and keep a consistent, branded voice.
3. Get Everyone in Your Team Involved
The more voices the better. Get as many people as possible from your company or firm invested in your social media campaign both conceptually and creatively.
Benchmark Reporting Agency Earns Women’s Business Enterprise Certification
MINNEAPOLIS (July 13, 2017) – Benchmark Reporting Agency of Minneapolis, a leading provider of court reporting and legal videography services, has received certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), recognizing Benchmark as an independent business that is owned and run by women.
The WBE certification involves a rigorous and detailed application and review and is only awarded to businesses that are at least 51 percent owned by women. The certification enables contractors to receive credit for partnering with minority status companies when creating projects for government entities, or others who may require such participation.
Benchmark received initial certification from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, which qualified the agency for the WBE as a woman-owned business, as well as in the minority owned business category.
“Despite being an exhausting process, achieving the WBE certification has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my career,” said Aimee Goldberg, owner and partner of Benchmark Reporting. “With each step, the process confirmed how exceptional each member of our team is and reinforced the culture our company was founded on 50 years ago. I am proud to say that Benchmark is a Women Owned Business!”
Goldberg purchased the company from her stepfather in 1997. Under her leadership, Benchmark has expanded beyond its court reporting origins into a full range of litigation support services. Over the last two decades, Benchmark supported its clients by capitalizing on the latest technology to increase sales, revamped the company’s structure in order to streamline operations, and rebranded. Today, the 50-year-old agency offers a full range of litigation support services, digital depositions and legal video services to organizations in Minnesota and across the nation

Litigation Support in Sport and Entertainment Law
When a dispute in the entertainment industry comes to the point when court proceedings become a necessity, having an experienced court reporting team on your side is a boon. A court reporting firm’s organizing and indexing services are a necessity when a case can span so many types of law, and often times the guarantee of ownership under a contractual setting will be disputed on the basis on intent. All of the court reporting agencies in the NNRC understand the urgent need to process theoretical and legal details as important facts to bolster your client’s claim. Should your client find themselves in a contractual dispute, ensure that you’ve got experienced entertainment law court reporters on your side.
The Need For Detail in Intellectual Property Law
Intellectual property law, also known as copyright law, is a growing opportunity amongst today’s legal firms. With the internet to rapidly diffuse information on a global scale, the ease of obtaining copyrighted materials has skyrocketed. Added to that the difficulty of proving ownership to intellectual property, it can be a difficult case to make on behalf of your client. A court reporting firm’s organizing and indexing services can be crucial when defending or prosecuting intellectual property infringement. All of the court reporting agencies in the NNRC understand the urgent need to process finite, theoretical detail as important facts to bolster your client’s claim. With an experienced court reporting firm at your side, navigating the intricacies of intellectual property law and litigation support has never been easier.
Medical Malpractice Litigation Support
In today’s medical field, practitioners follow the Hippocratic Oath, which promises to patients primum non nocere or “first, do no harm”, leading potential medical treatments to be vetted thoroughly for faults before being administered to humans. However, this oath is not a full proof method of ensuring culpability, which is where medical law finds its place. Should your client find themselves the victim of medical malpractice, ensure that you’ve got detail-oriented and experienced medical malpractice court reporters on your side.
